Too Loud sound is owned/operated by Ed Jones. I've been involved in furthering the cause of good music since I first heard the Beatles in 1964(on black and white TV!). I was only 8 years old but I knew that was going to be a big part of my life even way back then. My first guitar was a giant Harmony guitar with two strings. I learned every Beatle song by ear on low E & A. My mom put up with that until I drove her nuts about getting an electric guitar. Back then, folks didn't have funds like we have today, so she rented me an Italian fiberglass electric and a Supro amp. I took lessons and was decent enough to play in a kids' performance orchestra(mostly accordions & guitar, bass.percussion). When the instructor found out I was improvising instead of reading the sheet music, he kicked me out of the orchestra and that began my career playing in bands at age 11(1967). Played in lots of bands/ weekend warrior for 30 years, till about 1997, then moved on to live sound/lighting, guitar repairs & the early age of digital recording in 2001 using a Roland 8 track. Of course, that didnt have enough buttons, so I bought my first Mac/ Cubase 3.0 & had plenty of buttons to press(according to my wife!) The name Too Loud Sound was incarnated one night running sound with a buddy(Bill). We didn't have a name for the sound company & were discussing possible names while doing the sound check. Two old timers at the bar kept saying " Too Loud" over and over; We both looked at each other & knew that had to be the name! Yeah, we have lots of guitars and accessories for sale, and fix guitars/amps but what I am most excited about is two state of the art guitar/keyboard lesson rooms(see pics). We use a Laptop running Cubase 8.5 w/Steinberg interfaces & powered studio monitors. Choose your favorite amp model & let the learning begin. Sounds just like a guitar amp and we save your lesson on a USB drive. Both rooms are optimized for great sound. My hope is to keep music culture alive and keep musicians(& future msicians) involved in making music (hopefully less than they play with their Cell phones!) Also, at our store location is a Recording Studio complete with backline. See our download area for bands I have worked with either live or in the studio.
